Rudolph and Sletten Headquarters

  • A Daylight Factor of 2% or greater in 75% of all regularly occupied areas was achieved through the use of full-height windows at nearly all perimeter offices and glass cubicle walls.
  • Rudolph and Sletten reused over 30% of the existing finishes for the new office space. Ceiling tiles were reused, nearly all of the existing carpet was left intact and several of the existing doors were fashioned into new countertops.
  • Through a patented technique employing the use of a proprietary sanitary liquid and simple gravity, Waterless Urinals require absolutely no water for flushing and saves thousands of gallons of potable water per year. Also aiding in our water conservation efforts are the low flow faucets used in our restrooms and break rooms.
  • Columbia Forest Products’ line of EcoColors™ cabinetry, which are made entirely from recycled agricultural straw, was used for all of the plan table surfaces and office casework.
  • A few of the recycled materials used in our new office include recycled glass countertops in the break rooms, fabric-wrapped panels made from 71% recycled polyester, ceiling tiles made from 50% recycled materials and metal studs made with recycled steel.
  • To protect the health of the Rudolph and Sletten employees after construction, a two week flush-out period was required to remove any latent VOCs and other harmful chemicals created during construction.
  • All waste generated by the construction and demolition throughout the project was strictly tracked to ensure that at least 75% by volume was recycled. We achieved a recycled volume of 94%!
  • Minimizing the demolition of the existing partitions, HVAC system, and Fire Sprinklers were goals of the R&S design team that were accomplished by incorporating over 60% of these existing systems into the new office.
  • Occupancy Sensors and Photo Cells are being used to limit lighting in unoccupied and naturally-lit spaces.
