“In the midst of project pressures and resource constraints, it is often easier to merely meet minimum standards; therefore, I want to thank Rudolph and Sletten for the dedication and determination that allowed us to exceed our goals.”

Medtronic MiniMed's facility located on the Cal State Northridge Campus in Northridge, California provides manufacturing and research for medical technologies to help millions of people to resume everyday activities, return to work, and live better, longer.

The four buildings are referred to as East, West, North and Central. In the East building the company will manufacture an insulin pump that is the size of a small cell phone. In the West building they will manufacture a sensor for disk implants to detect blood sugar levels for diabetics.

The first phase of the project located at the east end of the project site includes a 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility, featuring research and development laboratories and office space. Another 150,000 square foot wing will house more office space. A 15,000 square foot central plant is also included. Next to the central plant are 45,000 square feet of conference facilities, cafeteria, and executive office and laboratory space.
